TRAINING

As Investors in People, we are committed to training and maintaining a highly skilled and confident workforce. Our modern apprenticeship scheme has an annual intake of apprentices who are managed by our industry training provider JTL

In July 2006, one of our operatives Kevin Pearson won the JTL National Award for Practical Achievement in Electrical Installation at an awards ceremony at the House of Lords, London.

We subscribe to the CSCS Scheme (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) in which we hold the Gold Standard. Any operative who has passed this assessment has demonstrated that they have an acceptable standard of health & safety knowledge, as required by the Electrotechnical Industry.

All our operatives working within the Food Industry have completed the IOSH Safety Passport (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health). IOSH is Europe's leading body for Health & Safety Professionals. Any operative who has passed this assessment has demonstrated knowledge of both general site safety and specific hygiene requirements related to the Food Industry.

We have a rolling programme of up-skilling our workforce in IPAF (safe handling of booms and scissor lifts), PASMA (safe erection of scaffolding), and C&G 2391 Testing and Commissioning.

To encourage computer literacy all our employees are offered in-house training in accordance with an E-learning programme specifically offered within South Yorkshire .
