We have been delighted to be involved in a recent DIY SOS: The Big Build project, which was filmed in Wath upon Dearne in Rotherham.
DIY SOS: The Big Build is the BBC’s flagship home renovation show. It has been running for 16 years, and attracts around 6 million viewers in its prime time slot on BBC One. Presented by Nick Knowles and his team of Purple Shirts, the show takes on really ambitious builds in just nine days. The programme completely relies on the support and generosity of the local community of tradespeople and suppliers, to help truly deserving families.
We supplied five electricians for the project who provided nine days labour for ‘The Big Build’. The Lilleker Bros team were Byron Shaw, Russell Hallowes, Chris Richardson, Jack Chadwick and Mark Cottam. Billy Byrne, who is one of the original members of the DIY SOS team, visited our offices to personally thank the company and everyone involved with the project. The programme will be screened later this year and we are very much looking forward to watching the show.
